If you've tuned in by now, you know that Ori has a thing for New York's furry convenience store guardians. The Big Apple is a melting pot of histories, influences, and identities, but one thing most everyone can agree on is the central importance of bodegas—everyone's neighborhood corner store. Few things embody that experience more than the bodega cat, unofficial talismans of city convenience and perhaps the cutest rodent patrol this metropolis has ever known.
We featured bodega cats in our inaugural issue, and were pleasantly surprised to see one of our cats included as part of a recent "All Things Considered" episode on NPR.
