After an intense round of subscriber voting, we are proud to announce that Fadiyah Alaidrus and Garry Lotulung have been awarded the second Ori Creative Grant for their feature "Mothers of the Sea: The Women Protecting West Papua's Waters."
The pair of storytellers based in Indonesia will receive this non-binding grant money in order to fund their next journalism projects. According to Alaidrus, their grant will go towards publishing a zine on invisible disabilities, while Lotulung, calling in from the jungles of Eastern Indonesia, says his grant will help continue his work on vulnerable indigenous communities of Southeast Asia.
